That is why the authorities are asking everyone to pay special attention to hygiene requirements. In addition to regular hand washing, it is also recommended to disinfect wet rooms more often. In this post, you can read a more detailed description of the correct cleaning of the toilet and its surroundings.

How should you go about disinfecting your toilet?

Even with the greatest care, your toilet can be teeming with germs, but frequent disinfection can go a long way in preventing infections. To clean your toilet, you should use basic tools such as rubber gloves, a toilet brush, a proven cleaning agent, and a supply of paper towels.

When you're ready to clean, the first thing to do is remove any unnecessary items from around the toilet. Many people store air fresheners and toilet paper here, but you won't need them when cleaning. Plus, accidental spills can easily land on their surfaces, creating another source of infection.

Cleaning the cup

Many people make the mistake of starting cleaning with the seat, even though there may still be plenty of contaminated water coming from the bowl. So, cleaning should definitely start with the bowl, using any tried and tested bathroom cleaner. Most of these cleaners contain chlorine mixed with some surfactant and fragrance. Cleaning with chlorine should only be done with gloves in a well-ventilated room. The cleaner should be applied to the rim and bottom of the bowl, and then it is advisable to drain After you have finished this, you should let it sit for a while to allow the product to take effect.

Once the cleaning agent has achieved the desired results, you can use the brush to thoroughly clean the bowl. You can remove the agent from the bowl with one or two flushes after folding down the lid. Finally, wipe the toilet seat with a dry cloth and the disinfectant!

Disinfecting the seat

Professionally disinfecting a toilet seat is relatively simple. Spray the seat with the cleaning agent on both the top and bottom, wait a few minutes, and then wipe the material off with a dry cloth. Just make sure that all parts of the seat are disinfected and that no stains are left behind. Throw used wipes in the trash instead of down the drain! If the wipes don't dissolve in water, they can easily clog the drain.

Keeping other surfaces and surroundings of the toilet clean

The flush lever can also harbor a lot of bacteria and viruses, just like the toilet tank. It is recommended to remove dust from the tank first, then apply the cleaning agent. Once you have finished, toilet It is also a good idea to thoroughly clean the cover under the toilet. Splashed urine typically gets stuck here and over time creates an unpleasant, sticky stain. After cleaning, be sure to disinfect the brush! It is a good idea to soak the brush in a bucket of chlorine water and then put it back in place.

Descaling effectively

While most household cleaners are great at removing limescale, you don't need to use expensive chemicals to get great results. You can make a homemade solution of baking soda and vinegar that will not only remove limescale but also other contaminants from your drain. To do this, you will need a cup of baking soda in a down the drain pour it in, then add a similar amount of vinegar. The foam created by the mixture of the two will fill the drain, dissolving any deposits that could cause blockages and unpleasant odors.

If you need help...

Our company operates not only in Budapest, but also in the surrounding counties. anti-clogging and sewer cleaning works.
