Thanks to the material and the sealing, the device is completely protected against dust and can operate continuously underwater at depths of more than 1 meter at ambient temperatures between -10 \u00b0C and 60 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Inside the device there is a microswitch, which is activated mechanically by a suitable lever, using a ball. The ball is influenced by the tilt, i.e. where the float switch is at the water level.<\/p>\n

Two materials provide insulation for the electrical cables inside, neoprene and PVC. The advantage of neoprene over PVC is that while PVC is a stiffer material, neoprene is more resistant to physical effects and has a better coefficient of expansion. In the case of chlorine-containing media, neoprene is resistant and does not react with the media, while chlorine is released from PVC.<\/p>\n

Before choosing the right float switch, we should definitely consider the purpose for which we want to use it, and also the liquid in which we want to use the device.
