Warning: risk of infection!

Safety first! – How are the tools used during blockage removal disinfected?

Figyelem: fertőzésveszély!

We may not even think about the risks that may arise when clearing a blockage. It is true that when the toilet floods the apartment or the sink becomes clogged, you need to act immediately. However, it is not at all unimportant how the professional who removes the blockage prepares for his work. If he does not pay attention, his equipment can easily become a source of infections that can seriously endanger the health of the people living there, as well as his own.

Warning: risk of infection!

THE blockage The tools used to eliminate blockages, i.e. the protective clothing of our workers, various tools, and the vehicles used by our professionals, are also considered serious risk factors for infections. Those who solve blockage-related problems in our homes therefore have a double burden of responsibility. Our workers must eliminate the blockages as quickly and efficiently as possible. blockage reason, but you must do all this in a way that does not bring or "leave" pathogens in the apartment. Protecting the health of customers in this way - that is, preventing various infections - is only possible if our specialists pay special attention to their cleaning and disinfection.

The secret to prevention: preparation!

Of course, protection against various infections – e.g. Calici, typhoid, influenza – begins before the actual work begins. Our specialists first carefully check the condition of all equipment and protective clothing used during the removal of the blockage.

During our work, rubber gloves are a basic piece of equipment, of which our employees can wear several types, depending on the nature of the task. For example, industrial rubber gloves provide protection against various chemicals, while riveted Rothenberger gloves are used to grip the pipe wrench of the same name. The equipment also includes long-sleeved rubber gloves and rubberized gloves at the wrist, which also contribute to the protection of one of the most important „work tools” – the hands.

Usually, protective clothing and gloves can provide enough protection against various infections, but if the nature of the problem requires going down into the sewer, then the use of rubber clothing cannot be ignored. In this case, our employees can wear rubber boots, thigh boots, and even a chest-length rubber suit with bridle for their own protection and that of their customers.

Our specialists check the equipment before the first departure of the day and also upon arrival at the site. Even despite the greatest precautions, one of their devices can be damaged in the back of the car. In such cases, according to our experience, the integrity of the rubber gloves and rubber boots may be at risk, as they can easily crack or get punctured during transport. Of course, the integrity of the entire equipment must also be checked so that our workers can fight the blockage that often attacks insidiously but causes huge problems as effectively as possible.

Defense at the highest level

As mentioned earlier, the drain cleaner must also pay attention to his own health. Not only because he would be much less effective in his job if he was sick, but also because if he contracted any infection from his previous job, he could easily spread it to other homes.

Our employees receive the same vaccinations as the fire department, which protect them against typhoid and tetanus. But they also do their best to minimize the chance of contracting any infections or diseases. For example, they regularly take vitamins and go to the sauna, which can detoxify the body very effectively. Last but not least, the sauna also provides refreshment for the body and soul after a tiring day at work, making them more ready for the next challenges.

Disinfection – We protect the health of our customers.

After finishing the daily work, you should also think about cleaning and disinfecting the equipment. In such cases, you should not be satisfied with a simple wash with water, because more effective solutions are needed against pathogens that are often considered a source of serious diseases.

When it comes to household cleaning products, it is not for nothing that floraseptic water has been a proven method for decades. Our workers soak their equipment in the well-known disinfectant solution to get rid of various microorganisms. Since the disinfection of the entire equipment takes an entire night, our workers have at least two, but typically more, sets of each piece of equipment at their disposal. Thanks to the larger „selection”, rubber gloves and protective clothing need to be changed less often.

We also use various organic products on a biweekly or monthly basis. Although products specially developed for instrument disinfection are quite expensive, they achieve almost 100% results and their use does not harm the environment.

However, it may also happen that the protective clothing becomes very dirty during work. If there is no way to change it immediately, then in such a case - as a quick intervention - our employees usually wash their equipment in a muddy canal saturated with sand and debris. After washing with rainwater, they complete the quick cleaning operation with the help of a high-pressure washer that our employees always have on hand. This provides adequate protection against infections until we have the opportunity to carry out the complete disinfection of the equipment - as described above.

As a customer, we can also help!

It probably doesn't even occur to us that the anti-clogging As a company customer, we can do a lot to reduce the chance of infection. If we know that a professional is coming to us and the blockage is in the kitchen or bathroom, we should unpack everything in the sink or from under the tap. Not only to make it easier to troubleshoot the problem, but also to prevent dirt from splashing onto any of our objects of use and causing trouble. Pay special attention to packing up children's toys, clothes, and kitchen utensils, which can be moved to a well-locked cupboard or - if there is none - to another room.

Let's also remember that the drain cleaner has to solve various problems in many households one day. After the second or third job, not only the protective clothing and tools, but also the car or truck in which he arrived at the site may be contaminated. It is therefore worth asking him to park his own vehicle further away from ours, as this way he has less chance of transmitting infections. Let's also think about parking our own bicycle further away from the drain cleaner's car!

Let's never forget about the big cleanup!

After the professionals have solved the problem, we should clean the given room, but if the problem affects a larger area (e.g. the toilet has flooded the apartment), then we should do a complete disinfection and deep cleaning of our entire home. In this case, we should not be afraid to use external help - even cleaning services. Keep in mind that the most important thing is to create a bacteria-free environment after solving the problem. So, let's not spare time, energy, or money to achieve impeccable cleanliness in our apartment! Only in this way can we guarantee that we will completely get rid of any possible infections in our home that may have appeared as a result of the blockage or its removal.
